For many of us October marks a change of seasons; a season of harvest and hay rides, and if you are anything like me, long walks underneath the beauty of changing leaves in the Midwest. This month also marks many important causes that ask us as a country, to reflect, expand our awareness, and more importantly; to act. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and National Drug and Alcohol Addiction Recovery Month.  This month also marks our 2nd year in business!

The last two years has afforded us the privilege to work with national and local organizations that represent the best of humankind and our ability to act compassionately towards one another;  particularly to those in need.  The CRA and Grantwell team have been fortunate to also work with those who are deeply involved in providing support, services, and solutions to many of October's causes.

In support and in honor of these organizations and their causes, we have provided some information regarding these social issues (including facts and community events in support of solutions). Given the prevalence of these concerns that if you have not experienced personally, will impact someone you know, why not take a few moments this month to understand their significance and learn what you can do to support these efforts in your community and areas of influence.  As is our motto, CRA and the Grantwell believe that the greatest ability for social change lies in bringing a variety of talents, perspectives, and expertise to the table. Lend your voice and understanding to these causes; you have an important role to play!
